Vijayawada: the CPM City Committee started ‘Praja Chaitanya Padayatralu’ from Ajith Singh Nagar here on Sunday demanding the government resolve the people’s problems.
CPM State Committee secretariat member Ch Babu Rao launched the padayatra. Speaking on the occasion, Babu Rao said that the government didn’t fulfil the assurances it had made during the polls after winning the elections. He alleged that the TDP government failed to resolve the people’s problems. He pointed out that housing, ration cards and pensions problems still being continued in the State.
Praja Chaitanya Padyatra was conducted at Kandrika, Masjid Street, Prajasakti Nagar, Radha Nagar and BV Subba Reddy School area on the first day. CPM City Committee leaders D Vishnu Vardhan, P Sambi Reddy, B Ramana, P Madhavi and K Sridevi participated in the programme.
