Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu sanctioned financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to valiant soldier who was seriously wounded on-duty in the Pakistan terrorist attack that took place in Pathankot of Punjab on January 1, 2016. The brave soldier, Sriram is the native of Vangara mandal in Srikakulam district and has been working in Delhi. He went to Pathankot on-duty and was wounded while defusing the bomb during the Pakistan terrorists attack on the Air base.

Officials Major Pradhan, Sub-inspector M V Rao, commando G Nukaraju and others explained to the Chief Minister about the pathetic condition of the spirited soldier. They said some small splinters of harmful bomb materials are still in the body of the soldier and could not be removed as it may lead to complications in future. Sriram thanked the Chief Minister for the announcement of financial assistance.
