Dhone: Nagendramma (24) attempted suicide by consuming pesticide-laced drink at Kamagani Kuntla village in Dhone mandal on Sunday night. Her relative, Naga Lakshmi, shifted her to Dhone Government Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. The victim took extreme step as she was unable to bear the harassment by her husband Kodanda Ramudu.
Nagendramma got married to Ramudu three years ago. Her husband had been pestering her for money from one-and-a-half year soon after she gave birth to a girl child. The Dhone police took up investigation.
