Anantapur: Jana Sena Party supremo Pawan Kalyan is arriving on Thursday on a two-day visit to Anantapur district to drum up support for his relentless campaign for Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and connect himself better with local problems and particularly those of the farmers who are reeling under severe drought.

The public meeting of the Power Star will begin at 4 pm at the local Government Junior College grounds where arrangements are being made by the fans and followers and local leaders of Jana Sena Party.
Amarnath, Harsha and Varun are some of the youth leaders engaged in the arrangements and make his visit an astounding success. The Jana Sena Party president will interact with students of Gates Engineering College at Gooty on Friday and later in the afternoon address a public meeting in the Railway Town of Gooty.
While the morning was agog with news of Prime Minister Modi scrapping the Rs 500 and 1,000 denomination notes, the news of Pawan Kalyan's visit has clouded the morning news and the visit of Pawan Kalyan has become the talk-of-the-town.
Local Jana Sena leader Varun talking to 'The Hans India' says that their leader is trying to take the party into the masses to eventually fight the 2019 elections by taking up the emmotional people's issue of special status.
Several local party youth are confident of winning the hearts of the people by fighting for the cause that the people hold dear. Jana Sena will be a force to reckon in the state, believes his fans.
Besides the special status issue, he will also try to know the local problems of people particularly the farmers who languishing in poverty and indebtedness and drought conditions.
Local MLA Prabhakar Chodhury talking to 'The Hans India' commenting on the power star's visit to the district opined that he respects him as the well wisher of the party who campaigned for his victory and that of the party in 2014 elections.
He said that there is nothing wrong with Pawan questioning the government if he felt there are some inadequacies in the government.
The TDP he said welcomed his visit and would take his positive criticism if any in a most positive manner. He said that he would react on the outcome of the meeting after the conclusion of his visit.
Local YSRCP sympathiser Gandhi said that he too welcome the Jana Sena president's visit but hoped that as a man who has the tendency to question would expose the government failures and call the spade as spade and side with the aspirations of the people.
Many local observers believe that Pawan Kalyan is going in a strategic way to win the hearts of the people and fighting for an emmotional issue as special status and indirectly establish his party in Rayalaseema.
Local observers say that whichever political combination the Jana Sena would be a part, would win the next Assembly elections in 2019.
