AP Chief Minister promises to develop Srikakulam on all fronts
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP government is committed to development of Srikakulam district in all areas as it possesses good natural resources.
​Srikakulam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP government is committed to development of Srikakulam district in all areas as it possesses good natural resources.
Naidu inaugurated three projects and laid foundation stones for three other development works on Saturday as part of his Jana Chaitanya Yatra in Srikakulam city.
The Chief Minister arrived in Srikakulam from Visakhapatnam in the morning and laid stones for construction of Integrated Collectorate buildings complex which is proposed to be constructed at a cost of Rs 116.5 crore.
He performed Bhumi Puja for road extension works from Arasavalli junction to Suryamahal junction in Srikakulam which will be executed at a cost of Rs 3.86 crores.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stone for railway over-bridge at Bendigate in Vajrapukotturu mandal and inaugurated tribal youth training centre set up at a cost of Rs 4.42 crore at Mandasa mandal centre.
Naidu inaugurated NTR Greenfield Stadium constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore at Amudalavalasa. The CM also inaugurated a blood bank at the Red Cross hospital in Srikakulam.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the TDP government was taking up several developmental project though it was facining severe financial crunch.
Before the arrival of the Chief Minister in Srikakulam, city police arrested CITU district general secretary D Govinda Rao and five others as a preventive measure and shifted them to Gara police station.
