Guntur: Hindu College of Pharmacy Chairman Dr Mannava Radhakrishna on Thursday hoisted the National Flag to mark the 68th Republic Day.

Presiding over the celebrations, he sensitised students on the achievements of freedom fighters and leaders responsible for drafting the Constitution.

College secretary Jupudi Ranga Raju spoke on the significance of the Republic Day celebrations and values enshrined in the statute. He exhorted students to win laurels with their accomplishments in the realm of pharmacy.

He greeted students – Jasti Venkata Rao (university first in M Pharmacy), Ch Rajesh (university second) and J Eswara Kumar (who was the winner of power lifting competitions) - on the occasion.

College principal Dr MV Nagabushanam, vice-chairman of the college Dr S Madhusudhana Rao, governing body members of the college, teachers and students took part in the celebrations.
