Tirupati: “A genius can be made, even if not born as one”. A civil engineering diploma holder S Bhaskar Raju from Vadamalapet Panchayat near Tirupati believed in this concept and started an institute with a difference of creating intelligence. While training 10th failed students in the beginning, he got a basic doubt that why they could not succeed in examinations. After undergoing training on how to programme the brain through language, he experimented it on 37 failed students and trained them on calligraphy. It yielded good results and he trained thousands of students in calligraphy so far.
Highlights:
- S Bhaskar Raju of ‘Make My Baby Genius’ believes that genes have nothing to do with intelligence, but practicing in a systematic way will make anyone intelligent
- His training techniques have made several children increase their memory power to a great extent
He made another experiment with his son Manjunath who was rejected admission into 1st class in 2014 as he did not qualify for that class. He trained his son in scientific methods and made him learn 100 Vemana poems, Bhagavadgita Slokas and English words. Manjunath so far secured 13 world records. This inspiration made Bhaskar Raju to start an institute ‘Make My Baby Genius’. Students of various schools attend the summer special course at this Institute for improving their handwriting, improvement of memory power, reading and writing of Hindi and English etc.
For memory power, concentration, practice, handwriting etc. he introduced some scientific therapy and believed that any child can be made a genius. For instance he uses ‘patterns’ which are nine different shapes made of ply wood. With this he makes children to read, write and writing spellings correctly. The talent of writing the same thing from top to bottom and vice versa, and from left to right and right to left can be acquired.
Through ‘millets’, children are made to hit the ball with a wooden hammer. Through this they can acquire concentration and memory power. Some other modes of teaching like Brain gym exercise and smart learning apps are being used. He designed a special slate in Telugu, English and Hindi languages which help improve the handwriting.
Seeing the response for those slates, he designed similar slates in 19 other languages. He made his research experiment on his three children and all of them are now world record holders.Getting inspiration from Barbara Arrowsmith Young of USA, he found that, by activating the pre motor area on the left side of head, even differently-abled children can be made to talk, write and read. He applied for an international patent on this method which he experimented on his son for the first time. By rubbing on the circles at pre motor area from back to front and front to back it was activated. After that his memory power has increased within one month.
Bhaskar Raju believes that genes have nothing to do with intelligence, but practice in a systematic way will make anyone an intelligent. To prove this he chose a government elementary school in Renigunta and gave training for 50 students. Within 20 days they were able to recite 100 Vemana poems and 3000 English words and their spellings. Even in mathematics they are progressing. Now he is planning to extend this further to some other schools. These training techniques made several children increase their memory power to a great extent. Most of them become child prodigies too.
Five students of them belongs to the age group of 7-14 exhibited their memory retention talent recently. Manjunath of 8th class, Sivatmaka of 1st class, Dhanush Nayak of 4th class, Vinaya Srushti of 7th class and Kayam Teja of 8th class excelled in memory retention and entered their names in the Genius book and Wonder book of records amidst thunderous applause from the audience.
