  • TDP pooh poohs impact, while YSRCP hopes future political alliances are possible with BJP
  • Disunity among TDP-BJP leaders is an open secret

The interesting comments made by chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the press conference on Saturday claiming that his party has pre-poll understanding with the BJP and still are putting pressure on the Centre for getting benefits for the state while maintaining friendly relations. This statement made by Naidu appears as if his party is on a defensive mood over continuation of political alliance with the BJP in coming 2019 elections said a BJP leader on the condition of anonymity with Hans India.

Despite BJP is having political alliance with TDP, no party leaders participated in the election campaign in recent Local Body Constituencies elections. The saffron party leaders skipped even chief minister’s tours in the district. It may be recalled that BJP also had filed its nominee in that elections and there was disunity prevailing among the two parties.

A BJP senior leader said opined if political alliance between BJP and YSR Congress really materialises both parties will share seats as the YSRCP is still having strong hold in general public. However TDP leaders ruled out such possibilities by saying that Jaganmohan Reddy is magnifying the issue to divert the attention of public from he is facing trail in the disproportionate assets case. They said that BJP leaders are continuing as ministers in the state cabinet and at the same time TDP is people representing as union ministers in the Narendra Modi cabinet .

In such circumstances it will not be possible to break the alliance between two parties they said. “Jagan Mohan Reddy met the prime minister only appealing for rescuing him from disproportionate assets case but not other political reasons. Even as he moves heaven and earth to escape from the cases it is confirmed that he would be sent behind the bars for second time and forever” said TDP district president A. Srinivasulu Reddy.
