Amaravati: The state Cabinet which met here on Monday devoted a good amount of time for analysing the moves of Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the backdrop of his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The one-to-one meeting two years ahead of the general elections created commotion in state politics, which even rattled the ruling TDP-BJP combine.

According to sources, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reportedly expressed his displeasure at the way his Cabinet colleagues reacted on the Modi-Jagan meet.

Referring to the statements of some ministers finding fault with the PM’s consent for a meeting with an ‘accused’ in economic offences, Naidu was reported to have said that anyone can meet the PM.

“That is not the issue to have been highlighted. Jagan’s motives and the agenda behind the meeting should have been brought under public attention,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved AP Sports Policy-2017-22 and Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill which is to be piloted in Assembly special session on Tuesday.

The Cabinet reportedly took stock of the outcome of a survey on happiness index which ranked Srikakulam first and Prakasam district last.

The Cabinet cleared the decks for establishing a seed university in Kurnool district in collaboration with Netherlands.
