The city police are conducting a probe into the allegations levelled by one Brahmaji, a trader, who was reportedly beaten up by two doctors at Mango orchard in Nunna village a week ago. Brahmaji on Wednesday alleged that the two doctors have kidnapped him and took to the mango grove in Nunna and severely bashed him up due to a financial dispute.

He said that he luckily escaped with injuries. As the confusion prevailed over the episode it is suspected that the case has Hawala links, which were surfaced in Vizag recently.Commissioner of Police P Gautam Sawang took action against two policemen of the city on Tuesday for neglecting their duties. Meanwhile, the city police seized one Innova vehicle belonging to a corporate hospital at Ashok Nagar on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

The police higher officials are not disclosing the details of the allegations and the investigation of the case. The police suspect the case is related to Hawala transactions and conducting the inquiry. Security was also arranged for Brahmaji, who is undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital, on the national highway at Gunadala.

In a related case, Tataji, who was associated with Brahmaji, told the media persons on Wednesday, “ I know Brahmaji for the past two months only and alleged that Brahmaji was telling lies about his business activities.”Patamata police are not giving details whether the FIR was registered on the alleged kidnap and attack made on the Brahmaji by two doctors of the city or not.

Top officials of the police department are saying all details would be disclosed to media in two or three days and added that investigation continues. Meanwhile, the city police took Tataji and Dr Chalapati Venkateswar Rao into their custody in connection with attack on Brahmaji.
