The agitating unions of State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) and Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) in Tamil Nadu have called off their strike on Tuesday night. The leaders announced that the government will hold discussions with the unions before this month end.
Tirupati: The agitating unions of State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) and Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) in Tamil Nadu have called off their strike on Tuesday night. The leaders announced that the government will hold discussions with the unions before this month end.
Till then, they said, they have postponed their agitation and resuming the bus services immediately. Accordingly all the services of Transport department started plying from the midnight of Tuesday much to the respite of the passengers. The unions except the ruling AIADMK affiliated ones have gone on strike since Monday disrupting many bus services belongs to the SETC and TNSTC. APSRTC, Tirupati region have operated additional services for the convenience of the passengers.
