Case registered against Tanuku MLA
Tanuku rural police registered cases against Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna and another six persons on Friday on the charges of detaining a Sub Inspector and a station writer of Iragavaram at his party office in Velpuru of Tanuku rural mandal.

It may be recalled that the Tanuku MLA Arimilli Radhakrishna called Iragavaram SI K Srinivas and writer Pradeep to his party office in Velpuru and allegedly detained them from 6 pm to midnight of Thursday for arresting TDP workers in SC Colony of Relangi village of Iragavaram mandal.
It also alleged that the MLA asked the SI and writer to sit on the floor for hours. On Friday, Iragavaram SI K Srinivas complained against Radhakrishna and six others. In his complaint, the SI stated that MLA and his men obstructed his official duties and detained him and station writer Pradeep. Tanuku Rural police registered cases under Section 342 (illegal detention), Section 353 (obstructing official duties) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the MLA and the other six persons.
Meanwhile, addressing a media conference at his camp office in Tanuku, MLA condemned the reports of detaining SI and writer in his office. “I called the SI and to my camp office to question them on arrest of TDP workers. I wanted to know why YSRC workers were not arrested as TDP workers were arrested on charges of group clashes with YSRC. I sought to know why the main accused YSRC worker was roaming free. I never detained them,” he clarified. “Is questioning detention? I will never keep quite if injustice was meted out to TDP workers,” he asserted.
