Exhibition on Wheels at Kottavalasa station
State of the art exhibition aboard the ‘Science Express-Climate Action Special (SECAS)’, a unique collaborative initiative of Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Railways, will be stationed at Kottavalasa station from May 20 to 23.
Visakhapatnam: State of the art exhibition aboard the ‘Science Express-Climate Action Special (SECAS)’, a unique collaborative initiative of Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Railways, will be stationed at Kottavalasa station from May 20 to 23.
Divisional Commercial Manager (Coordination) G Suneel Kumar said here on Friday that the Science Express cum Exhibition on Wheels will create awareness among people and students as to how the climate change can be combated through mitigation and adaptation. Unlike in its earlier three phases, the theme of the present Science Express is on climate change as it affects bio-diversity.
He disclosed that understanding climate change was showcased in coach-1, impact of climate change in coach-2, adaptation in coaches 3 and 4, mitigation in coaches 5 and 6, international negotiations on climate change in coach 7, handprint in coach 8, exhibition put up by the Department of Bio-technology in coaches 9 and 10 and exhibition put by the National Innovation Foundation in coach 11. Suneel Kumar appealed to the public and particularly students to visit the Science Express between 10 am and 5 pm.
