Pedestrians are not being given space to walk. After observing all these conditions here the SP has organized Public hearing at invited suggestions, requests from the public. Intellectuals, senior citizens, journalists and social activists participated in the programme and opined that drivers should have traffic sense and follow the rules. Ranga Rao said that the town has been deprived of spacious roads. Similarly, there are not traffic margins and zebra crossings for the convenience of pedestrians, he pointed out.

“We are planning to install more CCTV cameras in the town to monitor the traffic,” he said. Deputy transport commissioner B Krishnaveni, said: “Now people did not have patience and don’t want to wait for a few minutes and rushing towards their destinations violating traffic rules. Therefore, accidents are taking place.”
