Women and Child Welfare Minister Paritala Sunitha has distributed insurance compensation to 19 beneficiaries of Chandranna Bima scheme worth Rs 6.15 lakh at her camp office here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Sunitha said that the Chandranna Bima scheme is providing a lot of financial strength and hope to the families of the deceased either in a road accident or by natural death.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunitha said that the Chandranna Bima scheme is providing a lot of financial strength and hope to the families of the deceased either in a road accident or by natural death.

She said that this was a great boon to the workers of the unorganised sector and their families. By just paying a premium of Rs 15, the family is covered under the scheme. So far, as many as 2,813 persons were paid compensation of Rs 13.5 crore. The Minister called upon all daily wage workers and those in the unorganised sector to join the scheme. She asked party workers to join the poor people in the scheme and create awareness on the scheme.
