Identify new voters for enrollment: CEO
Identify the new voters, who completes the age of 18 years by January 1 2018, said the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal. He reviewed the electoral rolls and other related issues of three districts Chittoor, Kadapa and Nellore in Tirupati on Saturday
Tirupati: Identify the new voters, who completes the age of 18 years by January 1 2018, said the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal. He reviewed the electoral rolls and other related issues of three districts Chittoor, Kadapa and Nellore in Tirupati on Saturday. He said steps have to be taken to create awareness among the students, who will attain the age of 18 years by next January. The District Revenue Officers (DROs) of the three districts have attended the meeting along with other officials.
The CEO said Booth Level Officers (BLOs) meeting is to be conducted every month and they have to make door-to-door survey in their respective areas in June to verify the voters and any additions or deletions to be made. In this survey itself they should make corrections if any in the voters list, he added. Awareness camps are to be conducted in Intermediate and degree colleges for the benefit of students. He asked the officials to concentrate on voters’ enrolment related issues on every Monday. The CEO also reviewed the status of various election related cases. DRO Rajia Begum and other officials were present.
