Ongole: Ministers Sidda Raghava Rao, Ponguru Narayana, Paritala Suneetha, observers Chandu Sambasiva Rao and J R Pusharaj, along with the other MLAs and MLCs from the party reached the venue, but Balaram and Ravi Kumar have become the cynosure of all eyes. When they entered the venue, a group of policemen escorted them to the dais even obstructing the followers of the leaders.
Suneetha promises to render justice to grassroots level cardres
The meeting was started with a warning like instructions from the convenor and Ongole MLA Damacharla Janardhan that ‘Party is above persons and their feelings’ and ‘no one is supreme than Chandrababu or TDP’. Janardhan explained the cadres that the district party is proposing the state party to fulfil the promises made to the district to gain more voters in the next elections.
The Prakasam district unit of TDP also passed a few resolutions to praise the party and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his tireless service and hard work for the development of the state. The Mini Mahanadu passed resolutions to thank Chandrababu Naidu and state government for completion of 70 per cent of the Veligonda project, sanctioning the horticulture college to the district, for introducing soil tests and giving subsidies on fertilisers and chemicals, introduction of welfare and development oriented schemes for Dalits and backward classes
providing industry friendly atmosphere and attracting large MNCs for investments in state, introducing health oriented programmes and providing best medical services, taking up decisions and implementing programmes for conservation of water and providing water for irrigation, constructing the futuristic and best capital city for the state and making Amaravati as a hub of development activities.
The program went on like a classroom filled with mischievous students sitting calm in the presence of the principal. But, a few leaders took advantage of the atmosphere and indirectly expressed their agony and dissatisfaction over the party high command.
Karanam Balaram said, “We have observed a negative attitude in the leaders from four or five constituencies and they are creating obstacles to the works proposed by the other party leaders and exerting pressure on the officials not to complete them. The new comers with age not more than the party are trying to portray that they are safeguarding the party since its inception.
What a senior like me who have seen four generations should feel then? Minister Paritala Suneetha tried to pacify the cadres and said that the opposition party will try to instigate rivalry between the leaders and cadre in the party. She accused the YSRCP President Jaganmohan Reddy of killing hundreds of TDP cadres, including her husband Paritala Ravindra. She promised the grassroots level leaders to feel safe and said that justice will be rendered to everyone.
