Amit Shah appreciates handloom weaver
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Amit Shah and Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu complimented a weaving artist for his effort in preparing a handloom national flag. The weaver from Achanta Vemavaram village in West Godavari district- Rudrakshala Satyanarayana- wove the handloom national flag with Ashok Chakra on it with an aim to hoist it on Red Fort.

The artist went to the BJP meeting held in Vijayawada on Thursday with the help of Narasapuram MP Gokaraju Gangaraju and met Amit Shah and Minister Suresh Prabhu, State Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Union Minister Sujana Chowdary and BJP state President K Haribabu.
The BJP top leaders expressed great interest to see the handloom made national flag. While appreciating the weaver, the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu stated that weaving is a wonderful art. So many weaving artists not expecting any returns have weaved so many things and brought glory to India. Satyanarayana requested the BJP top leaders to cooperate in hoisting the flag in New Delhi.
They assured him that they will cooperate in this regard. Suresh Prabhu was very much impressed with the handiwork and said it is very difficult to weave the national flag with Ashok Chakra in a single cloth. He assured that the Government would always come forward to extend its cooperation to such artists.
