Chalo Narasapuram to highlight fisherfolk’s woes
Andhra Pradesh Matyakara Sangam will be organising ‘Chalo Narasapuram’ programme on June 8 to highlight various problems of fisherfolk along the sea coast.According to AP Matyakara Sangam East Godavari unit president M Dharma Rao, the fisherfolk have been facing several problems and a public meet is being organised at Narsapuram in West Godavari on 8th of this month to highlight the problems faced
Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Matyakara Sangam will be organising ‘Chalo Narasapuram’ programme on June 8 to highlight various problems of fisherfolk along the sea coast.According to AP Matyakara Sangam East Godavari unit president M Dharma Rao, the fisherfolk have been facing several problems and a public meet is being organised at Narsapuram in West Godavari on 8th of this month to highlight the problems faced by them.
He regretted that the fishing ban period compensation for the 61-day ban period from April 15 to June 14 is yet to reach the affected. “Even the enumeration of fishermen affected by the ban is yet to be finalised even after one and a half months of imposing ban” he said.
Dharma Rao, on Saturday also said that apart from the Jeep rally from Srikakulam, a separate rally from Kakinada will reach Narasapuram to participate in public meet in which prominent leaders will participate
