Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram constituency YSR Congress Party plenary will be held on June 5 in local Tyagaraya Narayan-adasu Seva Samiti indoor auditorium as part of conducting plenary sessions from constituency level to state level,Addressing press conference here on Monday,

former MLA and city convener of the party Rowthu Suryaprakasa Rao said that the plenary will discuss different subjects including Polavaram major irrigation project which had its foundation laid in 1983 by T Anjaiah as chief minister in the presence of former chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and present Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

However, YS Rajashekar Reddy started the project in 2004 by constructing right and left canals to supply water to one lakh acres. Later, nothing was done in last three years even though it was declared as national project. Suryaprakasha Rao said that the plenary which is going to be attended by Nagari MLA RK Roja, party spokes person Ambati Rambabu, district president Kannababu and greater Rajamahendravaram convener and former MLC Kandula Durgesh will also discuss on issues like old age pensions, differently abled and housing to BPL families.

He alleged that Janmabhoomi committees are interfering in administration and allotting pensions, housing and in every welfare scheme. He also lashed out at state government which is allowing sand and liquor mafias in the district which are fetching crores of rupees.

He said that the plenary will discuss about state sponsored political murders, defections, drought and other issues. Deputy floor leader of YSRCP Muralidhar Reddy, corporator Pilli Ananthalakshmi, former corporator Polu Vijayalakshmi, Sunkara Chinni and others participated in the press conference.
