Many corporate and private colleges are ready to give 50 per cent concession in fee for candidates who secured 10/10 marks in SSC. They are also according priority to students who attended bridge courses.“I approached a corporate college for bridge course immediately after SSC examinations are over.

The management promised to give admission at 50 per cent concession. The college fulfilled the promise as my score was 10/10,” said N Uday who hails from Vuyyuru.“My school teacher has been in constant contact with me as he is working as an agent for a corporate college. He informed my parents to avail fee concession offered in the college though I am an average student. They want to fill the seats at the earliest,” according to T Ramana, an SSC pass candidate.

“I am basically an insurance agent and attracted by commission offered to me for getting students for admission in a corporate college. I think there is no wrong in it and the students’ future will be bright as the corporate teaching is the best. It is a mutual benefit activity I have been involved,” said K Sai, an agent for many insurance firms.

Md Basha, a car driver, said his son passed SSC with much difficulty and he wanted to shell his earnings for his future and did not care for money for joining him in a corporate college which charged Rs 40,000 for first year Intermediate. Private and corporate colleges are likely to open from June 5 as they are eager to start the academic year without any delay.

The colleges have been charging separately for study material supplied to students apart from notebooks.Some colleges displaying flexies with courses offered at main centres and at the entrance of the colleges with a note that admissions are in progress.
