The chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu chose interlinkage of rivers to address the drought situations in the state, said the minister for forests, environment, science and technology Sidda Raghava Rao. He participated as the chief guest for the Nava Nirmana Deeksha pledge taking ceremony at Prakasam Bhavan in Ongole on Friday.

Sidda Raghava Rao said that the chief minister is taking every step to complete the Polavaram project and on the other side, constructed Pattiseema project to lift 100 TMC from the Godavari, which is going waste into the sea, to feed Krishna River. With the water lifted from the Godavari, about 60thousand acre in Parchur assembly constituency is being cultivated, he added. The minister said that the CM is now planning to interlink Krishna with Penna in coming days.
