Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Centre had allotted Coastal Employment Zone for Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is one of the two states selected in the country for the zone, Gujarat being the other one.

Participating in teleconference with officials and people’s representatives from his residence here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister asked district collectors to identify suitable land for this purpose.

A Central team will visit areas in Chittoor and Nellore for this purpose on June 12.Stating that the two districts will benefit immensely from this initiative, he said that it is golden opportunity to provide employment and setup industries.

The development would make Chittoor-Nellore-Tiruapti cities as tri-city corridor. The government’s main aim is to develop the state as industrial hub, he said.

He asked the officials to create awareness on CM Dash Board, Kaizaala app and 1100 call centre. The details of progress, including per capita income, gross state domestic product also should be explained to public.

He said the Opposition party which was creating hurdles to law and order with false campaigning against the government would be taught a fitting lesson by people.

On this occasion, the officials informed the Chief Minister that over 10 lakh people had participated so far in the ongoing deekshas which were being conducted by the government across the state as part Nava Nirmana Deeksha. Several officials and public representatives were present.
