MYS Prasad is New Vignan University Vice-Chancellor
Former director of SHAR, Dr. MYS Prasad took over charge as Vignan University Vice-Chancellor on Monday at a programme held in the Vignans University at Vadlamudi. Speaking to the media on this occasion, MYS Prasad said ‘our country needs engineers’ and advised the engineering students to upgrade their skills to get better jobs.
Guntur: Former director of SHAR, Dr. MYS Prasad took over charge as Vignan University Vice-Chancellor on Monday at a programme held in the Vignans University at Vadlamudi. Speaking to the media on this occasion, MYS Prasad said ‘our country needs engineers’ and advised the engineering students to upgrade their skills to get better jobs.
He said he worked in ISRO from 1975 to 2015 at various capacities and added that for the last one and half year, he has been giving advises to the Vignan University and working as a honorary adviser. He said Vignan University is teaching on par with international standards in the rural areas and developing the skills of the engineering students.
Vignan Educational Institutions chairman Dr.Lavu Rattaiah said at present lot of research is going on in the university and added that with the appointment of MYS Prasad as V-C, research work will gain momentum in the university.
