Union Minister Suresh Prabhu along with AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday flagged off Hamsafar Superfast Express, between Howrah and Vijayawada.
The Vijayawada–Howrah Superfast Humsafar Express (Train No. 00890) departed Vijayawada at 12:30 pm and will arrive at Howrah at 8.15 am on June 16.
This train consists of 19 coaches. Of them, 16 are AC III tier coaches, one pantry car and two generator power car coaches.
Addressing on the occasion, Chandrababu said that it is a record breaking feat 10 projects are being introduced on the same day.
Stating that the state government has taken up the beautification of the airport at Visakhapatnam, the Chief Minister thanked the farmers for contributing the land for the airport.
