MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy inaugurates cow shelter

Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy along with his wife inaugurated the cow protection shelter at Rajarajeswari temple premises on the outskirts of Venkatapuram on Wednesday. Reddy offered special prayers on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that it is our responsibility to protect cows as per the tradition. He said that there used to be a number of cow shelters on the banks
Atmakur (Kurnool): Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhara Reddy along with his wife inaugurated the cow protection shelter at Rajarajeswari temple premises on the outskirts of Venkatapuram on Wednesday. Reddy offered special prayers on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that it is our responsibility to protect cows as per the tradition. He said that there used to be a number of cow shelters on the banks of Krishna River during Vedic period.
He said that many of the cows are dying due to lack of protection shelters. He praised the organisers for establishing shelter. Chandiparayanam, Lalithahomam and gopuja rituals will be performed for three days. Earlier, the temple priests welcomed him with traditional Purnakumbham.
