Search on for missing fishermen boat
Search is going on for missing fishermen boat belonging to Parlov Peta of Kakinada urban mandal in East Godavari district, said District Collector Kartikeya Mishra. In a press release issued here on Wednesday, the Collector said that a fishing boat with seven fishermen of Parlov Peta, who went for fishing during the ban period , had gone missing from May 30, 2017. Kakinada: Search is going on for missing fishermen boat belonging to Parlov Peta of Kakinada urban mandal in East Godavari district, said District Collector Kartikeya Mishra. In a press release issued here on Wednesday, the Collector said that a fishing boat with seven fishermen of Parlov Peta, who went for fishing during the ban period , had gone missing from May 30, 2017. It was reported to the Collectorate on June 12 that they were missing.
Basing on information, Coast Guard was requested to search for the missing boat. Accordingly, three Coast Guard vessels from Kakinada and four vessels from Visakhapatnam were deployed for searching. One air craft from Visakhapatnam was also involved in search operation on June 13 and it could not do it on Wednesday due to the inclement weather, he added.The Collector said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu enquired about the missing boat and suggested to the Collector to take up measures for tracing the boat. He further said that ONGC and Reliance were also requested to assist in the search operation in coordination with Coast Guard and the Chennai coast guard head quarters were also asked to take up search in Chennai area.
