New-born baby girl rescued by locals after being dumped in garbage bin

A new-born-baby girl was found in a garbage bin at Varma Colony in Kakinada, East Godavari district on Saturday. The baby was wrapped in a polythene bag and was reportedly dumped in the garbage bin by unidentified persons near Seshadri high school in the locality.

Noticing the loud cries, the locals rescued the baby and alerted the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). The officials thanked the locals for rescuing the baby within an hour of abandonment before more danger would pass by.

They made an appeal to people to come forward if they are interested in adopting the baby.
