Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is committed to safe guarding the interest of the minorities said Chittoor MLA D A Satya Prabha. To celebrate the Ramzan festival with pomp and fervour, the CM has decided to present ‘ Chandranna Ramzan Tohfa’ to all the white ration card holders she added.
This was distributed at a function held at ZP Meeting Hall on Monday.Participating in the event District Collector P S Pradyumna said that all the white ration card holders of Muslim minorities would be benefited under the scheme “ Each kit contains wheat power -5 Kgs, Sugar-2 Kgs, Samiya – 1.KG and Ghee -100 grams worth Rs.265.
On or before the Ramzan festival, all kits are to be distributed through fair price shops” he added. He said that 1.02 lakh white ration card holders would get the benefit in the district. “The CM has made it mandatory to offer gifts to the respective communities on the eve of festivals like Sankranthi, Christmas, and Ramzan. The strong desire of the CM is that poor sections should also celebrate the festivals at par with rich people” the MLA added. Joint Collector Girisha presided over the function.
