- Says Rahul Gandhi would never go back on SCS demand
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, former Minister stated that the Congress would exert pressure on the state and central governments till they accord SCS to AP. The Congress leader said that the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi had already promised that the Congress would never go back on the demand of SCS to AP.
“The people are highly fed up with the rule of NDA and TDP governments. Anti-establishment vote of the two parties would be an added advantage to the Congress,” he stated. The Congress leader alleged that there was no development in the state during the three-year TDP rule. He lashed out at the Chief Minister for trying to defend his failures with false promises. He said the TDP government failed to keep its promise of remitting unemployment incentive to the educated youth.
DCC president Venugopala Reddy came down heavily on district administration for taking instructions from the TDP appointed Janmabhoomi committees for implementation of social welfare schemes. The farmers in the district are highly fed up with the indifferent attitude of the TDP government. The government had failed to remit the input subsidy to the farmers in the district, he said. District Congress leaders Paradesi and Subramanayam were present.
