Chittoor: The 67-year-old Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is striving day and night for the development of the State as if he belonged to the age group of 20 years old, said his son and Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh. With his great vision and dedication, the Chief Minister is committed to creating 6 lakh jobs for the unemployed and skilled youth by 2019, he added.

Addressing a public meeting at Piler on Friday, Lokesh said that he was very fortunate to get an opportunity to serve the rural population at a very young age. He said service to villages is service to God.

Lokesh has listed out the progress achieved by the State during the last three years under the TDP government. He said the Chief Minister waived farm loans to the tune of Rs 24,000 crore despite the State facing a financial deficit of Rs 16,000 crore.
The farmers are the backbone of TDP government, he added.

The Minister also lauded the measures taken by the Chief Minister for completion of Pattiseema Project on a record time and speeding up works of the multipurpose Polavaram Project. He said the TDP government took a pledge to provide LPG connections under Deepam scheme to all the BPL families.

He pointed out that instructions were given to officials to issue subsidised seeds to the farmers and release the input subsidy immediately. He said under the TDP rule, Andhra Pradesh turned into a power surplus State. The pensions to the aged persons have been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000. He said several multinational companies are eager to establish their industries in the State.

The Minister laid foundation stones for several schemes in Piler Assembly Constituency which is represented by YSRCP MLA C Ramachandra Reddy. Lokesh also interacted with the beneficiaries of NREGS at Mahal. Ministers N Amaranatha Reddy, Adinarayana Reddy, ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, District Collector P S Pradyumna, Rural Development Commissioner Anjaneyulu, State Housing Corporation Chairman Varla Ramaiah and others accompanied the IT Minister.
