Government according top priority to farm sector: Minister
Minister for Agriculture S Chandramohan Reddy said that the government is giving top priority to the agriculture sector. He announced that the government is spending more on agriculture to promote the farmers.

He participated in an agriculture seminar at Parvathipuram on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they are distributing food processing equipment at 75 per cent subsidy to establish food processing firms in the Agency areas. Even the micro irrigation equipment, sprinklers also would be provided at subsidy.
The famers can purchase machinery at 90 per cent of subsidy. Cold storages, mobile marketing vans, ripening chambers also can establish with the support and subsidy from the government.
“Our aim is to increase the income through farming and to attract some others towards agriculture sector. We are working to provide minimum support price to the farmers for their produce. Agriculture extension officers would be appointed to help the farmers.
Minister for Mines and Geology RVSK Ranga Rao, principal secretary of agriculture B Rajasekhar, Collector Vivek Yadav, and project officers of ITDAs participated.
