East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation of Waltair Division in association with the Divisional Railway Hospital organised ‘Well Baby Show-2017’ at Visakha Rail Club on Saturday. The show was conducted in order to create awareness among the railway employees about the health and hygiene of their children.

Visakhapatnam: East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation of Waltair Division in association with the Divisional Railway Hospital organised ‘Well Baby Show-2017’ at Visakha Rail Club on Saturday. The show was conducted in order to create awareness among the railway employees about the health and hygiene of their children.

A team of five railway doctors, including a pediatrician, dentist and ophthalmologist under the supervision of chief medical superintendent B G S Rao, supervised the event and judged the show. President East Coast Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) Sanjeela Mathur, secretary Madhurikasipathi and other members were present.

Children up to five years participated in the show. The show organised into three categories depending upon age of 1 to 12 months, 13 to 36 months and 37 to 60 months. A large number of children participated in the show.

Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur appreciated the role of ECoRWWO and medical department for creating awareness on nutrition values and hygiene with the show which would help parents in nurturing their children properly. Officers, staff and ECoRWWO members were also present in the show.
