Rampachodavaram: The government has been taking all necessary steps to provide health security to tribals by strengthening medical services and filling up the vacant paramedical posts in the medical and health department in the agency area, said Project Officer, ITDA, A S Dinesh Kumar on Friday.

He made it clear that tribals need not panic over the prevailing health conditions. He handed over the appointment orders for paramedical posts for which interviews had already conducted.

Speaking here, the ITDA PO said that he gave appointment orders for 16 ANMs, 13 pharmacists, 15 staff nurses, three lab technicians and three MNOs. He observed that lack of communication system and road connectivity had been the obstacles for monitoring the health conditions in the agency area and added that steps are being taken to extend these services to tribal habitats.

He informed that efforts are on to make V-SAT and home radio systems available in the agency areas. In the wake of announcement of health emergency, he said that steps like cleaning the drains, spraying of bleaching powder and consistent garbage removal are being taken.
