Bhimavaram: All India Congress Committee Secretary V Hanumantha Rao said that he will bring AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi to Garagaparru village in Palakoderu Mandal of West Godavari district to solve the problems of Dalits in the village.

The senior Congress leader and former MP reached Garagaparru on Saturday morning and directly went to Christianpet to interact with the Dalits who were socially boycotted by upper caste people. He talked with the Dalits. The Dalit women told him about the plight over the last two months after the social boycott. They said that they are now starving and the government did not supply anything to them.

After the interaction, addressing media, Hanumantha Rao said that no justice will be done with the suspension of the officials. “Justice should be done to the Dalits in the village. The government suspended officials only. It could not solve the problem. You (Government) should suspend the Undi MLA also”, he said.

The Congress leader stated that the TDP leaders here are giving wrong information on the social boycott to the Chief Minister. If the Chief Minister did not solve the problem, he will bring AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi to Garagaparru to solve the problem.

He said, “Let us see whether Chandrababu responds on Garagaparru incident and visits the village.” He criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi who he described has no time but so far has toured 47 countries. He said he came to this village after seeing the incident through media.
