A placement assistance training programme for rural youth under DeenDayalUpadhayaGrameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) was inaugurated at Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT), here on Monday.

Kakinada: A placement assistance training programme for rural youth under DeenDayalUpadhayaGrameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) was inaugurated at Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT), here on Monday.

Participating in the inaugural programme, BJPEast Godavari unit presidentYMalakondayya said that the NDA government started the DDU-GKY programme with a view to generate employment to rural youth.

He called upon the rural youth to utilise the opportunities provided nder the scheme for their employment needs.
Director, IGIAT, BVinod Kumar said that the three-month training and placement assured programme was exclusively for rural youth under the age group of 18-27 years.

“Apart from training, the selected 60 candidates in two batches will be provided boarding and hostel facilities. This is in addition to uniforms and kits to all the 60 selected in two batches,” he informed.

After completion of this three-months training,the trainees will be provided employment in BPOs, he said. Advisor of IGIAT I Srinivasa Rao, BJP leaders Pydah Bhavana Prasad, K Ganga Raju, R VenkateswaraRao and others participated.
