Expedite pending work of Sarva Siksha Abhyaan: Collector

Kurnool: District Collector, S Sathya Narayana ordered the Executive Engineers and Deputy Engineers to expedite the pending works taken up under Sarva Siksha Abhyaan within a period of 45 days. He reviewed a meeting on the pending works of Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan with Project Officer, Rama Chandra Reddy at his camp office on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the collector expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in construction of additional class rooms. He said despite a month’s time, the construction of 97 additional class rooms and repairing of 77 major works are pending. He ordered them to complete these works with in a time bound period of 45 days or warned he would pursue the issue seriously.

He ordered the Deputy Engineer to complete the construction of 18 additional class rooms, 46 toilets, compound walls at five schools and electrification of three schools at Nandyal within a period of 75 days.

He further said to bring to use the unused toilets after completing the repairing works at all schools adding he said to take up qualitative works without compromising in standards. He said that he will review another meeting on the same subject after 15 days and ordered the concerned officials to come up with satisfactory results.
