Addressing media on Thursday, Corporation Commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju said two students of corporation schools obtained 10/10 marks in Class X public examination last year. An action plan was devised to prepare 30 to 40 students to get 10/10 marks in this year public examinations.

Compared to last year as many as 1,000 students joined in primary, upper primary and high schools of corporation this year, he said and added RO plants have been arranged at all the schools for supplying clean drinking water to students and toilets were also under construction.

Special care was taken to enhance the teaching skills and English medium was introduced in all corporation schools. The teaching faculty of corporation also put their efforts to enhance the admissions this year.

He said that municipal teachers and government employees should admit their children in municipal schools to infuse confidence among others in the city.

The commissioner warned the managements of private schools with stern action if they deny issuing transfer certificates to students who want to join in corporation schools. Public relations wing started in the corporation to brief about the developmental activities of corporation. Additional Commissioner VS Rao and Manager TS Vasu were present.
