KL Rao a great inspiration: Naidu
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that renowned engineer Dr. KL Rao should be an inspiration to all engineers in completing the pending projects within the stipulated time. He was the chief guest at Dr. KL Rao’s 115th birth anniversary celebrations organised by the Water Resources Department at Tummalapalli Kalashetram here on Saturday.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that renowned engineer Dr. KL Rao should be an inspiration to all engineers in completing the pending projects within the stipulated time. He was the chief guest at Dr. KL Rao’s 115th birth anniversary celebrations organised by the Water Resources Department at Tummalapalli Kalashetram here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that KL Rao’s role was commendable in construction of Nagarjunasagar Project and said his contribution to the irrigation projects was exemplary. He along with Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and others paid rich tributes to the departed engineer.
Naidu said that Godavari river water was diverted to Krishna river through Pattiseema project at Pavitra Sangamam to cater to the needs of the delta region. “By completing Polavaram project, Rao’s ambition for irrigation development in Andhra Pradesh would be fulfilled,” he added.
