S Kota (Vizianagaram): Minister for Mines and Geology RVSK Ranga Rao on Friday said that the government is committed to provide basic amenities to people particularly in remote villages.

Participating in various development works at Srungavarapukota constituency in Vizianagaram on Friday, he said that proposals were prepared to start vermi compost units by using waste. He inaugurated a water scheme at Alamanda village of Jami constructed at a cost of Rs 7 lakh.

The scheme will be helpful to Narayanapuram, Kalagada, Chandrampeta, Satyanarayanapuram and Mamidipalli villages.
Later, he distributed seeds to farmers and advised them to adopt modern methods to get high income through yield.

S Kota MLA K Lalitha Kumari said that the two Ministers P Ashoka Gajapathi Raju and RVSK Ranga Rao from the district are honest and hardworking, which is a boon to teh district. Later, Ranga Rao and Lalitha Kumari inaugurated drinking water scheme at Devada village of Kothavalasa mandal.

The Minister assured that he would take steps to provide individual tap connections for every house and distributed cheques for beneficiaries under the CM relief fund for their treatment. Ranga Rao said that he would support S Kota constituency and help to get more funds. TDP district president M Chinnam Naidu and K Ramanamurthy participated.
