Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had inaugurated Virtual Digital Class Rooms (VDCR) at CVR municipal high school here on Monday. About 28 municipal schools in Vijayawada with 62 class rooms were linked with VDCR technology. CM interacted with the students of 14 schools through the new technology.

Addressing students, teachers and others who gathered at the Vidya Vani programme, here on Monday, the Chief Minister said VDCR was the first of its kind in the world and congratulated Meluha Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for its support in making his dream project a success.

About 4,000 municipal and government schools in the state would get VDCR. “Content will be stored in cloud and can be retrieved for interactive teaching. With the VDCR method of teaching, students will easily understand the subject. Virtual Digital Class Rooms

Teachers will be given awareness training classes on VDCR, 3D animated digital content, interactive E-books, reading materials, Critical Incident Technique (CIT) material for revision, practice quizzes and question papers. Reports will be provided through cloud technology,” he informed.

Ministers P Narayana, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLAs Bonda Uma, Gadde Rammohan Rao, Jaleel Khan, MLC B Venkanna, mayor K Sridhar and others were present.
