The ministers Nakka Anandababu, Pithani Satyanarayana, KS Jawahar along with SC Corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao and Undi MLA Vetukur iSivaramaraju visited Garagaparru on Monday night to assess the situation in the village. They first interacted with the Dalits. They toured the Dalit colony in the village.

A meeting was held in the Church area by the ministers. The Dalits told them that they have not received any assistance from the government except 5 Kgs of rice. They stated that no road was taken up for construction and no one was calling them to work in the village.

Even after two months, after the exposure of the incident, they have no work to eke out their livelihood. The Social Welfare Minister Nakka Ananda Babu said that earlier they toured the village and within 36 hours of their visit to the village, police have taken steps and arrested the culprits. “The Dalits who were said to be socially boycotted by uppercaste will get all necessary benefits from the government,” he said.

The government is considering providing justice to the Dalits beyond the Law and Acts of the land. He said that all Dalits in the village will get pucca houses. He said that under SC sub plan, drainages will be constructed in the Dalit colony and drinking water problems will also be solved permanently.

He directed the Narsapur Sub-Collector Sumit Kumar Gandhi to remove all the encroachments in the graveyard belonging to the Dalits. He also assured of employment or jobs to the youth in the Dalit Colony.

Labour Minister Pithani Satyanarayana and Excise Minister KS Jawahar assured them that already steps have been taken up and ministers toured in the village. The assurances given during the earlier visit will be implemented. The Chief Minister has directed to see a peace and harmonious atmosphere in the village.

SC corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said that the government will do all needy to the victims of social boycott. He said that the government is taking steps for the development of the Dalits. He suggested to forget about the past and unite for the development of the village. He said the SC Co0rporation will impart training to the youth who studied 10thand above in professional skills and stipend and hostel facility also provided.

The MLA VetukuriSivaramaraju assured of the reinstallation of Ambedkar statue in the village and the Dalits will get the benefit according to the Act. Additional SP V Ratna, Narsapur Sub collector Sumit Kumar Gandhi, former MLA Digupati Rajagopal, YSRCP SC wing leader KoyyeMoshen Raju and others participated in the meeting. Later the Ministers visited the uppercaste area also. They called on the upper caste people and until last reports came in, late on Monday night, the Ministers are discussing with the upper caste people.
