Anantapur: Helping Hands for People Development Society, an NGO has organised a rally of ex-servicemen, NCC Cadets and the youth to commemorate the death of 527 patriotic soldiers, who laid their lives in the 1999 Kargil War in the city on Wednesday.
The rally was flagged off at the Tower Clock and culminated at the local police office. A candle light procession is also organised late evening with the participants being cross section of people, students, employees and the general public.
