Will quit politics, if Kapus are not given BC status:Ganta Srinivasa Rao
Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao here on Wednesday announced that he would quit from the politics, if the TDP government cheats Kapus. He asserted that the government is very keen to provide BC reservation status to the Kapu community, according to its 2014 poll promise.

Speaking at a press conference, the Minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu already appointed a commission and the commission has been working on the issue. "I am sure that the Kapu’s will be given BC status. If, any failure in this regard I will quit from the politics,” Ganta maintained.
The government has been giving top priority for the all-round development of the Kapu community. Observing the financial troubles of the Kapu youth, the government has established Kapu Corporation covering the other three communities and sanctioned the funds as per the assurance.
The government sanctioning loans for setting up self-employment units to the youth and also sanctioning loans for the kapu students for their higher education.
However, not looking at the government's programmes for the welfare of the community, Mudragada Padmanabha with a strong vested interest was damaging the law and order in the name of padayatra. There was no need of any agitation or padayatra for Kapu reservation, the government would surely provide the BC status, the minister added.
