TDP leader released on conditional bail
The former sarpanch and TDP Leader Reddi Appalanaidu, who was in judicial remand in Eluru District Court was released on conditional bail on Friday evening.
Eluru: The former sarpanch and TDP Leader Reddi Appalanaidu, who was in judicial remand in Eluru District Court was released on conditional bail on Friday evening.
It may be recalled that Reddi Appala Naidu and some others had allegedly planned to eliminate Government Whip and Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar and some others recently.
On these charges, the police filed a FIR and arrested him and others on July 10. He was produced before the court here and the Court ordered his judicial remand at District jail.
Appalanaidu, a former sarpanch and husband of former MPP of Eluru filed a bail petition in the High Court recently. The HC gave him conditional bail on July 26. It clearly stated that Reddy Appalanaidu and 8th accused Rambarki Purandhar were sanctioned conditional bail and they should not enter into West Godavari district until the police filed a charge sheet in the court.
The print and electronic media people reached the District Jail and awaited the release of Reddi Appala Naidu from mid noon to evening. Heavy police deployment was seen at the district jail. The rural CI Adapa Naga Murali and one town SI K Rama Rao led the police force. They did not allow anyone to accompany Reddi Appala Naidu. They warned all the supporters not to create any problem or else they would be arrested.
Around 6.30 PM, Reddi Appala Naidu was released from the jail. When the media tried to ask him questions, he said he was now on bail and could not speak on any issue and boarded a car that was waiting for him. It is learnt that Reddi Appalanaidu gave an option of residing in Kakinada as there were court restrictions for him to continue living in West Godavari district. He has to sign at Kakinada Additional SP office after his arrival, it is learnt.
