Ongole: Micro Small Enterprises Development Corporation (MSEDC) Chairman BV Ramarao said the government should provide free basic infrastructure like land, power, and water to micro and small scale enterprises than offering subsidies. He said the MSEDC is organising regional industry meetings in the state to create awareness among entrepreneurs on setting up of industries and getting credit support from the banks.
Ramarao said, “We have proposed three regional industry meetings in Andhra Pradesh for the enthusiasts and industrialists in the three regions. The first meeting for the Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari districts was held at Visakhapatnam on July 21.
The second meeting, for the Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts will be conducted at ZP Meeting Hall in Guntur on August 2. The third meeting will be held at Tirupati for Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts on August 9. After the conclusion of these meetings, a report will be prepared and submitted to the Centre in the meeting with the Prime Minister on August 14.
Based on the output of the meeting, the agenda for the South India MSE Meet at Port Stadium, Visakhapatnam on August 28 will be prepared. The RBI Governor, CEOs of nationalised and private banks, chief ministers of six states along with the higher officials of State and Central governments will participate in the South India meet.”
Ramarao invited the enthusiastic industrialists to come to the meetings with project reports and the MSEDC will help them getting non-collateral loans up to Rs 2 crore under various schemes from the government.
