Guntur: Students from across the state on Tuesday participated with enthusiasm in Andhra Pradesh State Challenger Chess Championship held at Bhashyam main campus here.
The students N Krishnateja, Pranavananda, Venkatakrishna Karthik and KN Gopal ahead with four points, while Y Grahesh, V Toshali, D Asraf Subhani, Veerabhadhra, K Mallesh, B Mounika and R Chaithanya secured 3.5 points in Swiss league system.
The event was organised by Genius Chess Academy. Genius Chess Academy Director CH Ravindra Raju and AP Chess Association treasurer inspected the competitions. GV Kumar and Fide arbiters are the judges for the tournament. Bhashyam Guntur urban CEO Siva and others attended the event.
