Eluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths conducted raids on the assets of Deputy Executive Engineer (DEE) of Panchayati Raj department MA Saleem of Bhimadole, who was caught by the officials while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a contractor on the second day Friday also.

It may be recalled that the DEE was arrested by ACB officials while accepting the bribe amount from contractor Areti Satish of Pedanidrakolanu village in Nidamarru mandal The ACB officials led by DSP V Gopalakrishna and CI UJ Wilson went to Tanuku and checked the lockers in Karur Vysya Bank.

They found Rs 2.50 crore worth property papers have been unearthed from the lockers. They also checked the Kotak-Mahendra bank lockers and found one kg gold ornaments and half-a–kilo silver ornaments.

The officials said the gold and silver ornaments cost Rs 1.50 crore approximately. The officials have taken another two bank lockers keys. However, the family members did not reveal the bank names to conduct the raid.
