Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham was once again stopped by the police as he tried to begin his Chalo Amaravati Padayatra along with his followers in Kirlampudi of East Godavari district.

Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham was once again stopped by the police as he tried to begin his Chalo Amaravati Padayatra along with his followers in Kirlampudi of East Godavari district.

Following the rejection of permission by police for the padayatra, Mudragada and his followers, in a novel protest adorned flowers on their ears.

Demanding the state government to either take him into custody or allow him to take up the Padayatra, the Kapu leader led the followers who raised slogans against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Mudragada had announced the padayatra last month as a to protest against the government for inclusion of the Kapus in BCs.
