Organ donor family felicitated
The Telangana government on Friday, felicitated the family members of Boya Pullaiah, 35, whose organs have been donated to eight others after his death due to brain disease on October 26, 2016 under Jeevandaan programme.
Atmakur: The Telangana government on Friday, felicitated the family members of Boya Pullaiah, 35, whose organs have been donated to eight others after his death due to brain disease on October 26, 2016 under Jeevandaan programme.
Pullaiah of Urban Colony in Atmakur used to work in a private hospital where he was moved by the difficulties of the patients. He used to extend financial aid to patients. He pledged his organs to Jeevandaan Trust which procured his organs including eyes, kidneys, lungs and heart and transplanted to eight others.
Health Minister Dr C Lakshama Reddy, Medical and Health Department Commissioner Rajesh Tiwari and Director General of Police Anurag Sharma felicitated Pullaiah’s wife Radha, daughter Sai Keerthi, son Sai Kiran and brother Rambabu by handing a letter of appreciation to them. The officials said the government would come to the rescue of the family in all respects. The government offered job to one of Pullaiah’s family member and free education to his children.
